After Malvern went out in the first round, 2008 finalists Old Cranleighans fell to Old Tonbridgians. Cranleigh asked Tonbridge to bat and Tonbridge rattled up 299-6. In reply Craneligh were bowled out for 245/ Bradfield Waifs and Old Wellingtonians had an extraordinary game. Bradfiled scored 310-5 and must have felt secure, but an opening partnership of 248, between the Young brothers both making 100s ensure that Old Wellingtonians got home with three overs to spare by nine wickets!!. Good wins from Charterhouse and Repton and rain effected wickets at OMTs and Oundle ensured some interesting cricket. Old Cliftonians, got home against Shrewsbury Saracens. Full results
 
Holders fall at first fence

Old Malvernians lost to old rivals Repton Pilgrims in the first round. In a tense match Repton batted foirst and made 261-8, when perhaps 290 was what they were thinking after a fast start. In reply Malvern were bowled out in the 49th over 13 short of their target. There were other good wins for Old Cranleighans, Stowe Templars and Old Cliftonians.
